Pre-Congress tour in London – SOLD OUT!!

Hosted by colleagues from London libraries, there will be a tour of the British Library, the Gerald Coke collection at the Foundling Museum, and the public library at the Barbican on Friday 28th July.
There is no charge for this tour. Delegates who are interested please express an interest on the booking form. All accommodation will need to be booked by the delegate.

Post-Congress tour from Cambridge to Aldeburgh, Snape, and Britten-Pears – SOLD OUT!!
August 5th 2023.
Post-Congress there will be a tour leaving from the Music Faculty at 9.30 am returning at 9 pm (details TBC).
The tour will include a visit to the concert hall at Snape Maltings for an exclusive tour. There will be time for lunch and to admire the views of the reedbeds and marshes, before moving on to the Red House, long time home to composer Benjamin Britten and his partner, tenor Peter Pears for a guided tour of the house and its archive.
The day will end with a quick drive to the seaside town of Aldeburgh to see the Scallop sculpture dedicated to Britten, crunch about on the shingle and (if desired) sample Aldeburgh’s famous fish and chips.
The coach will leave Aldeburgh early evening returning to Cambridge round 9 pm. (Remember to book an extra night of accommodation if desired).
